My First Fix

So I have been thinking about starting this site/blog/page for quite some time now, but I’ve always been hesitant to dive in until I knew exactly what it was that I wanted to focus on, not to mention deciding on the perfect design/layout.

Should I write about common grammar questions and mistakes? Should I explore etymology and the history of modern vocabulary? Should I create helpful content for ESL instructors to use in their classrooms, or make practical materials that ESL learners can use to practice and study on their own? Or maybe I should use it as a platform to promote editing services and online ESL classes?

Well, after many months of careful deliberation, I have decided to just do it all. When it comes to the English language, there are just too many areas of interest for me to limit myself to only one. I know that when it comes to blogging, they say you should find your niche and focus on that, but honestly, I can’t decide on one, and I be bothered to make a blog for them all. So I’ll make some subcategories on here and post about anything and everything related to the English language, and hopefully someone somewhere stumbles upon something I’ve written and finds it helpful.

And I’m sure somewhere along the way I’ll narrow my focus in response to my audience (assuming I ever get one), but for now, I will just start by posting whatever tickles my fancy. Whether I can help you get your English fix for the day, or help you fix your English, I’ll be satisfied either way. For now, I just wanted to get this first post done so that I could stop procrastinating and get on with making some content for you all to enjoy.

So thank you all for visiting my little corner of the interweb, and I hope that you find something of value here. Feel free to leave a comment or ask a question about anything and everything English related, and I’ll be happy to get back to you as soon as I can.

Cheers!
